How it keeps it yours

Three steps keep it yours

You never manage keys or codes. Your phone does the careful part, and there is no button we can press, and no support ticket we can escalate, that opens what it sealed.

  1. Sealed on your phone

Before anything leaves your device, it is locked with keys that only your family’s phones and laptops hold.

  2. Stored as noise

Our servers keep only the scrambled copy. A break-in or a curious employee would find locked files, never your papers or passwords.

  3. Opened by family

Your fingerprint or face opens it on the devices you have added. Lose every phone and your paper Recovery Kit brings it all back.

Every feature

37 features, 9 groups

As vaultforus.com describes them, shortened. Anything still in testing, or waiting on a store, says so beside its name.

Put it somewhere safe

Papers, passwords and the notes that go with them, locked before they leave your phone.

  • DocumentsEvery paper the family keeps, filed by member, with scans read automatically and the expiry dates that warn you.
  • PasswordsBanking and website logins behind a second lock, with nothing about them shown until you ask. Unlimited on every plan.
  • NotesShared lists and jottings: the recipe, the packing list, the thing you forget by Thursday.
  • Emergency InfoThe one page whoever is present can open: allergies, blood groups, and who to call first.

Never miss the expensive thing

Renewals, appointments and subscriptions that remind you before they lapse.

  • DashboardEverything that wants you today in one place: what is overdue, what is coming, and a card for every app.
  • CalendarThe family’s month on one grid, instead of on five different phones, with Google and Apple calendar sync.
  • RemindersRenewals and appointments that chase you before they lapse, rather than after.
  • SubscriptionsEvery recurring charge in one list, with the renewal date you keep missing.

The money

Where the month went, and who owes whom, without anyone opening a spreadsheet.

  • ExpensesWhere the month actually went, by category, without anybody opening a spreadsheet.
  • Shared billsWho paid, who owes, and how much is still moving between people.
  • VehiclesFuel, service and mileage per vehicle, and what it is really costing to run.

Life, not paperwork

Chores worth doing, milestones worth keeping, and the story of where you came from.

  • Family QuestChores a family will actually keep up with, because the points are worth collecting.
  • Shared goalsGoals the family is saving towards, and how far along they are.
  • MilestonesFirst concert, half marathon, golden wedding: each member’s timeline, kept.
  • Time CapsuleWrite something now, lock it, and let it open on a date you choose.
  • Family TreeWho came from whom, generations deep, and what the dates add up to.
  • OccasionsPlan an occasion end to end: guests, tasks, vendors and budget.

The ones you look after

Health records for the people, and vaccinations for the pets.

  • HealthAppointments, records and check-up streaks, including for the ones you have to nag.
  • PetsVaccinations, weigh-ins and treatments for the members with fur.

You decide who sees each record

Sharing is per record and per person, and only the person who made a record decides who gets it.

  • Private until you share itA note, document, expense or password can stay yours alone. Nobody else in the family sees it, not even a primary member.
  • Share with the people you pickHand a record to the members who need it, to read or to edit. Only the person who made it decides who it is shared with.
  • Set your own defaultChoose whether new records start private or shared with the whole family, and change it any time.
  • SearchFind what you stored by its title, category or date.

Hear about it where you are

Messages say that something happened and to open the app, never what a record says.

  • Four ways to hear about itThe app keeps every notice. A copy can also go to your phone, your email or WhatsApp, if you want it to.
  • Per app and per kindReminders by email and nothing else, documents on WhatsApp but not Family Quest. Security alerts always come through.
  • Quiet hours that holdNothing goes out during your quiet hours. What happens in the meantime waits and arrives when they end.

Signing in, and getting back in

Your fingerprint, not an emailed code, and a way back that we cannot reset for you.

  • Passkeys onlyYour fingerprint, face or phone PIN. No email sign-in, no text-message code and no magic link.
  • Recovery Kit on paperWritten at signup. If every device is lost it gets you back in after a 48-hour safety wait, or sooner if someone in your family approves.
  • New devices need your approvalA phone or laptop you have not added cannot open the vault.
  • Emergency access and legacy releaseSomeone you trust can ask for access if something happens to you. Nothing is released until a waiting period passes, and you can refuse at any time.
  • Legacy handbookWhat your family would need to know if something happens, in one place.
  • Audit logA record of who did what in the family’s vault.

Yours to keep

Leaving is a feature, and the vault works where your family already is.

  • Export anytimeDownload everything you stored. If you stop paying, reading and downloading keep working, and nothing is deleted for 90 days.
  • Install it like an appIt runs in the phone’s browser, adds to the home screen, and reads offline.
  • Bring your own Google DriveConnect your own Google Drive for more space, on every plan.
  • One family, many countriesPay in rupees, euros, pounds, or US, Australian, Canadian or Singapore dollars. Relatives abroad join the same family.
  • Referral walletCredit from referrals and good bug reports, with the reason written out and every movement listed.

What we can and can’t see

Exact, not impressive

Vault For Us would rather be exact than sound impressive. These are the account details it needs to run, and what is locked before it leaves your device.

We can see

  • Your name and email
  • Which plan you are on
  • When you last signed in
  • Document titles, categories and datesThey power search and reminders. The files themselves stay locked.
  • A mobile number, only if you add oneFor WhatsApp notices, confirmed by a code. It can never sign you in.
  • Bug reports you sendA report has to be read to fix what it describes.

We can never see

  • What is inside your documents and files
  • Notes, health records and passwords
  • Photos and anything you upload
  • Your master password or Recovery Kit

Not a promise to look away. The key that would open it never exists on our side.
